Planning permission has been granted to KMK Metals by Westmeath County Council.
Planning permission is being granted for a recycling battery processing facility in Westmeath.
KMK Metals received the green light from Westmeath County Council for a new standalone battery processing building at its facility in the Meeniska and Meadowpark townlands on the Moate Road in Kilbeggan.
The development includes a battery processing building measuring 765 sq.m in floor area and up to 6.8 metres in height.
The project also includes amendments to canopy design on the west side of the existing building, reducing the permitted floor area from 2,715 sq.m to 1,652 sq.m.
Westmeath County Council granted permission subject to 13 conditions.
