Approval is being granted for the retention of an existing coffee dock at a Midlands Hospital.
The HSE lodged an application with Laois County Council for the coffee dock and outdoor seating area on the grounds of the Midlands Regional Hospital in Portlaoise back in June.
The development comprises of a single-storey prefabricated Coffee Dock unit, together with a new paved outdoor seating and dining area, all accommodated beneath a new metal canopy structure, including all associated site development works.
The coffee dock is situated to the north of the hospital campus, adjoining the Emergency Vehicle Entrance accessed from Dublin Road at Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Laois County Council approved planning permission subject to five conditions.
