The tender process for a fire station in Rathdowney is being set back.
Plans for a new fire station in Laois have been delayed.
The tender process for delivering Rathdowney Fire Station has been set back due to what Laois County Council is describing as internal issues.
It comes after Rathdowney Fine Gael rep John King requested an update from the local authority at its latest monthly meeting.
He expects a design team to be appointed in the final quarter of this year.
