It will include a new on-site car park.
Plans for the extension of a midlands school have gone to tender.
Castletown Primary School is in line for two new special education needs classrooms and an on-site car park.
The expansion has been labelled as "badly needed," by Laois Offaly Fianna Fáil TD Sean Fleming, who is welcoming the development.
The new car park will feature 19 spaces, and a drop-off point, which Minister Fleming says will be "much safer for children and those on the road."
