Plans to expand Portlaoise Regional Hospital have been delayed.
Its after the HSE had to lodge a fresh application for a new two and three storey extension to the east of the hospital, incorporating a Respiratory Assessment Unit and an extension to the existing Pediatric Unit.
The initial request had been deemed incomplete by the planning section of Laois County Council.
A decision will now be made on January 12th 2022.
