The project would see an array of different kinds of houses delivered to the Mullingar area.
245 new homes could be on the way to Westmeath.
Planning has been submitted for a major housing development in Mullingar, along the Dublin Road.
The proposal includes 132 three bedroom homes, 70 four bed semi detached houses, 8 two bed duplex units, 4 three storey corner units, and 14 one bed units.
The development would also comprise of 21 apartment units and a four storey apartment block, as well as a creche facility.
More than 400 car parking spaces would be available, along with over 500 spaces for bicycle parking.
Additional site works would include a private garden and amenity spaces, hard and soft landscaping, roads and footpaths.
The site reaches over a total of more than 9 hectres.
A decision is due from Westmeath County Council on the second of December.
