Plans To Build Cardboard Composter Underway

Westmeath's Jack O'Sullivan is hoping to create the machine as a new study shows 200 million coffee cups are dumped each year.

Plans to build a cardboard composter are underway to help reduce waste emissions.

Westmeath's Jack O'Sullivan is working with Zero Waste Alliance Ireland to manufacture the machine which would also deal with food waste.

This comes as a new study shows 200 million coffee cups are dumped in Ireland every year.

The environmental scientist says better education on the proper disposal of waste needs to be introduced.
