There's concern about a shortage of accommodation this September.
Laois residents are being asked to volunteer as host homes for this year's National Ploughing Championships.
The organisers are concerned there may be a shortage of accommodation when the event returns to Ratheniska from 20th to 22nd September.
The National Ploughing Association has a list of recommended rates hosts can charge available on its website.
