Many midlands communities have raised concerns over the matter.
The new Enterprise Minister says the lack of communication with midlands communities over the housing of asylum seekers "isn't good enough."
Residents in Coole, Mullingar and Stradbally have previously raised concerns with the absence of consultation from the State with regards to refugees moving into their towns.
Those concerns were also shared by Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke, who was elevated to a seat in Cabinet yesterday.
