Portlaoise Consultant Fears Fallout Of Social Isolation Worse Than We First Thought

A consultant in Portlaoise Regional Hospital believes the fall-out from social isolation is even worse than first feared. 

Dr. Dominic Rowley says a lack of human interaction is leading to some people losing the capacity to communicate their thoughts when required, especially in medical settings. 

The National Public Health Emergency Team is expected to recommend the elderly and vulnerable return to limiting contacts outside their home in a list of recommendations to cabinet.
