The initiative was set up in the region only last week.
There's already been a positive uptake to a new hackney scheme in the midlands.
Seven applications have been made to the Local Hackney Pilot Scheme, which has been set up in Castlepollard and Kilcormac.
The service aims to provide more transport options to rural towns, and will only be permitted to pick up passengers within a 7-10km radius from a chosen position.
