A teenage boy remains in custody in connection with her death at a garda station in the Midlands.
Lorna Woodnutt, who was in her 40s and from Tullamore, died in her home in Rahan yesterday afternoon.
The State Pathologist, Dr.Heidi Okkers is carrying out the post mortem on her body at Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
Gardaí continue to appeal to the public not to engage with distressing footage of the violent attack yesterday.
