Levels in the Shannon are expected to rise by about 6 centimetres.

The National Emergency Co-Ordination Group will meet this morning ahead of the arrival of Storm Jorge.

It's in response to a number of severe weather issues, including flooding throughout the midlands.

The ESB predicts water levels in the Shannon will rise by another 6 centimetres by Sunday.

Three separate wind warnings will affect the entire country tomorrow, when the storm arrives.

Offaly's Cathal Nolan, from Ireland's Weather Channel, says large amounts of rain are expected.
