Heartlands Pride starts in Athlone this evening.
A pride festival is set to take place this weekend in the heart of a Westmeath town.
Heartlands Pride returns to Athlone today after a successful launch last year - with a range of events to take place in the town.
It kicks off this evening with a 'Drag and Draw' art event in TUS Athlone at 5pm, followed by an official after-party in Maisie's from 9 pm.
A pride breakfast at Magico Cafe and a Christmas Craft Market at Dead Centre Brewing are also set to take place over the weekend.
