Proposal To Increase Number Of Stall Traders In Westmeath Rejected

Representatives will discuss it again after street enhancement works are completed.

An amendment to the casual trading by-laws to increase the number of bays in a Westmeath town has been rejected. 

The proposed change by Green Party councillor Louise Heavin would have seen the areas designated for stalls increase by between one and four in Moate. 

However after discussing the details, representatives at the Athlone-Moate Municipal District meeting decided against including it.
