Abbey Road GSL are looking to develop houses in Athlone.
A proposed apartment development in the midlands is set to reduce the size of its development in its planning application.
Last September, Abbey Road GSL first sought planning permission from Westmeath County Council for the partial demolition of the two vacant bungalows at 6 and 7 Abbey Road in Athlone and the development of 36 modern, energy-efficient homes.
During the consultation and submission process, concerns were raised regarding the scale of the proposed development within the local area.
In response to concerns expressed by neighbouring residents, the project team has submitted further information to Westmeath County Council demonstrating that the scale of the proposed development has been substantially reduced.
Managing Director at Galetech Sustainable Living, Donogh O’Brien says the revised development "balances the need for homes while addressing key concerns received during the planning process".
