Protest On Shannon Flooding Takes Place Today

It's starting at 1pm.

Farmers are to take to the streets again today over flooding issues along the River Shannon.

The Save Our Shannon Organisation is organising the protest at Meelick Weir, where Offaly and Galway meet, at 1pm today.

It wants to see one group nominated to manage the river.

The previous protest on August 4th had over 150 attendees and they are planning on going 'out in force' once again.
