It's after some incidents of abuse have been reported.
People are being asked to respect ESB crews as they work to get power restored to homes and businesses across the country.
The issue is being highlighted after an isolated incident in the north of Westmeath where crews were verbally abused while working.
Fianna Fáil councillor, Alfie Devine, was made aware of the matter as says most people have been thankful and patient with workers following the storm last week.
Councillor Devine says it's important to remember that this is difficult on crew members too:
