A local Oireachtas member says the farming community has been let down by Minister Creed's leadership.
A public meeting will take place in Offaly this evening to discuss the future of agriculture in the region.
It's being organised by Councillor Robert McDermott, and Westmeath Fianna Fáil senator Paul Daly will be in attendance, as will Offaly TD Barry Cowen with an update on Bord na Móna.
The event itself will take place in Edenderry at 8 o'clock.
