The Durrow Community Council is organising the event.
A public meeting is set to be held next month to discuss concerns surrounding a proposed new IPAS centre in Laois.
The Durrow Community Council is organising the meeting following Mark Lennon’s planning application to convert Peadar’s and Lennon’s Bar on Mary Street into accommodation for people seeking international protection.
The Durrow IPAS Appeal Fund raised just under €10,000 this year to challenge the planning permission granted by An Coimisiún Pleanála for the development.
The meeting will take place at the Castle Arms Hotel in Durrow on Monday 9th November at 8pm.
