Public Representatives Must Remain Accessible - Midlands TD

Longford Westmeath TD Joe Flaherty is happy for the public to know his home address.

The Green Party doesn't believe candidates running in the next General Election should have to make their home address public. 

Deputy Patrick Costello has written to Ministers and the Electoral Commission to call for an end to the practice due to fears over far-right attacks. 

Homes of politicians have been targeted recently, including a window being smashed at the home of Councillor Hugh Lewis in Ballybrack in Dublin. 

However, Longford Westmeath Fianna Fail TD Joe Flaherty doesn't agree, and says he has no issue with his home address being on the public record:
