Recruitment Campaign Launched To Attract Prison Officers

The Irish Prison Service is outlining the benefits of taking up the role.

Ireland is facing an increasing number of people in custody, and there's a need for more prison staff to keep up.

The Irish Prison Service has launched a recruitment campaign, in a bid to attact more officers to the sector.

There are currently 700 people employed in both Portlaoise and the Midlands Prison.
