Red Tape Blocking Local Community Groups From Delivering Playgrounds

Groups are usually exempt from applying from planning permission.

A Laois county councillor is calling for exemptions to allow for easier construction of community playgrounds.

It comes following claims from Trumera that a local group have had to apply for planning permission despite already having the necessary works in place.

Those looking to build are being asked to progress with a outline design through the planning process.
