The Market house revamp started in 2023 is set to be finished soon.
A community and tourist hub is set to open in a Laois town at the end of this month.
Renovation works on Market House in Portarlington started in 2023 after the building came under a lease from the local authority.
Only one community group answered a public expression of interest to use the space, and is currently finalising an agreement to run the space alongside the local authority.
