The ongoing delays to repairs at a midlands school is scandalous.
That's according to Independent TD Carol Nolan, who says St. Brendan’s Community School, Birr has a dire need for new glazing, repairs to the roof and a properly functioning heating system.
The school, which was awarded DEIS status last year is also waiting on additional supports and has also been waiting four years for an autism spectrum disorder unit.
The Laois Offaly Deputy says there's a complete absence of any sense of urgency from the Department and the school has endured enough:
