The Longford-Westmeath TD feels it's needed in order to restore trust in the broadcaster.
RTE needs to come back before the Media Committee to face questions about overspending.
That's according to Committee member TD Micheál Carrigy after RTE executives appeared before the Public Accounts Committee yesterday.
Director General Kevin Bakhurst was asked about the station's handling of its exchequer funding and defended spending of almost a quarter of a million euro on limousines.
