Paramedic claims ambulance response for Offaly comes from two or three counties away.
Offaly is often being left with no ambulance cover as paramedics have to respond to calls two or three counties away.
That's according to a letter from a paramedic, received by local councillors at the recent monthly meeting of Tullamore Municipal District.
Last week, an ambulance coming from Portlaoise was pulled from a ditch while responding to a call in Robertstown, Co. Kildare.
