The Shannon Callows has experienced significant flooding over the past month.
Work is soon set to commence along the River Shannon to help tackle recurrent flooding along the Callows.
It comes following the announcement of a new Storm website announced by the OPW to show project information and updates in communities that are affected by flooding.
Severe flooding hit the Shannon Callows in Athlone over the past month, leaving farmers scrambling to rescue stranded livestock.
