Shoppers Returning To Laois After Lifting Of Localised Restrictions

The group believes the local economy suffered due to an unclear message from the Govern

A Laois traders' association says the county lost business because the message from the Government about the localised restrictions wasn't clear.

Downtown Portlaoise believes a lot of people thought the town was in lockdown despite the majority of shops being open. 

The restrictions were imposed after a spike in COVID-19 cases in Kildare, Laois and Offaly.
