Barry Campion is looking to win election to the Dail for the first time.
Improved public transport in rural areas is needed urgently.
That's according to Sinn Fein's Barry Campion who is running as a general election candidate for Longford-Westmeath.
He also ran in the local elections in June in his area of Granard in Longford and failed to secure a seat.
Affordable housing for young people and better rural road surfaces are also priorities on his manifesto.
