It comes as Robert Troy announced his resignation as Minister of State.
Sinn Fein says the inevitable announcement by Longford Westmeath TD Robert Troy casts very serious questions on the Taoiseach and Tánaiste's judgement.
The party's leader Mary Lou McDonald says Micheál Martin and Leo Varadkar offered the Junior Minister their full support describing him a ‘first class Minister’.
She believes the revelations highlights the Government's failed approach to housing.
Deputy McDonald says "The provision of social and affordable housing has been sub-contracted to the private sector under successive Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael governments. The result for ordinary people is exorbitant rents, rocketing homelessness and the fact that the ability to purchase a home has been put well beyond reach of the majority. That policy will not change with the resignation of Minister Troy. That policy will only change with a new government.”
