Social Democrats Want More Groups Included In Offaly Steering Project

It's examining ways to increase diversity in local politics.

The Social Democrats believe the steering group set up improve diversity in local politics in Offaly should be more broad.

They want representatives  from the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities and ethnic groups to be invited in. 

At the moment just past female councillors and candidates from local elections are to be part of the group.
