The Special Education Minister claims there's a effort across the Government to increase third-level places for occupational therapy, speech and language therapy courses.
It follows HSE figures released last week showing only 5% of children in Laois/Offaly were getting finalised disability assesments within a legal timeframe of six months.
Minister Michael Moynihan is visiting special schools across Offaly today to see the work being done to support students.
