Consumers in Offaly had the largest increase in hotel spend last month.
Spending on clothing has increased by 50 percent since May, as restrictions on retail started to lift.
That's according to the latest AIB Spend Trend report which found consumer spending rose in sectors that were previously closed under Covid-19 restrictions.
In-store spending on clothes was up 1,443 percent on April, however online shopping for similar items was down 17 per cent.
Despite uncertainty around international travel, spending on airlines increased by 132 per cent.
Dublin recorded the highest increase in spending during May, followed closely by Kildare, Cork, Cavan, Sligo and Galway.
