SSE Renewables is set to build a new operations base for one of its Offaly wind farms.
It will be built in the Rhode Green Energy Park to support the work of the 29 turbine Yellow River site in Clonin, with six full time technicians based on site to oversee daily energy generation.
Kilbeggan fabricator business Shanette is being appointed to manufacture and build a 285 square metre steel-framed structure, which will house the facility.
Construction is expected to be done by the end of the year, following the formal signing of the site agreement at the County Council buildings in Tullamore.
