The last of the cameras were installed as recently as two weeks ago.
Gardaí investigating an aggravated post office robbery in Mountmellick could have access to footage from up to 32 local CCTV cameras, the last of which were erected just two weeks ago.
A man armed with a firearm entered the post office at around 10 this morning, made threats to staff and demanded cash.
He later fled the scene and no cash or belongings were taken and no one was injured.
