Strike action is taking place at an Offaly food plant over pay and union recognition.
Members of SIPTU employed at Carroll’s Cuisine in Tullamore began a 12 hour work stoppage at 7am yesterday, with another 12 hour stoppage happening today.
SIPTU claims that management has pulled out of discussions on pay and working conditions, while parent company Sofina Foods maintains that it is fully committed to resolving the issues raised.
