Strike action at an Offaly food plant is being averted after management at the company agreed to discuss staff working conditions.
SIPTU says Carroll's Cuisine in Tullamore will begin talks over their employees collective bargaining rights on Friday.
Work stoppages were set to take place on Friday and Saturday this week after Union members voted to take action last week.
SIPTU says Carroll's accepted their request for a meeting after a notice of industrial action was served.
