A midlands guidance counsellor says you still have time to make your choices
The deadline for late CAO applications closes at 5:15 this evening.
Candidates are advised to go to CAO.ie and click 'apply' well in advance to make sure the process is completed well before time.
Career guidance counsellor at Coláiste Mhuire in Mullingar, Betty McLoughlin, says the deadline is essential before actual college choices are made in July.
Ms. McLouglin, a former president of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors, says that after the process is complete, the start of the college year is likely to be pushed back due to the pandemic:
