Jonathan Moran was jailed for eight years yesterday for the rape.

The Tánaiste is praising Mullingar's Blathnaid Raleigh for speaking out after her rapist was jailed for eight years.

26-year-old Jonathan, aka Johnny, Moran, of Tower View, Mullingar, was sentenced yesterday for the rape in 2019.

Ms. Raleigh said she was 'handing the shame' back to him during a statement at a previous hearing.
