Tánaiste Takes Finance Portfolio In Cabinet Shuffle

Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke will remain Enterprise Minister.

Tánaiste Simon Harris has been appointed as the new Finance Minister, replacing Paschal Donohoe. 

While Helen McEntee has been named as the first female Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence. 

Hildegarde Naughton is the new Education Minister while Emer Higgins has been promoted to Super Junior Minister responsible for disabilities. 

TD Frank Feighan has been named as a Junior Minister for Public Procurement. 

Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke will remain as the Enterprise Minister despite being linked to the foreign affairs brief.

The reshuffle comes after Paschal Donohoe's resignation to take up a job at the World Bank.
