Taskforce Established To Examine Pharmacy Prescription Feasibility

It's expected the move could save one million GP appointments per year.

Pharmacists may soon be able to prescribe medicines and extend prescriptions for patients. 

A taskforce is being set up by the Health Minister to examine how it could take pressure off GP services. 

Stephen Donnelly is hoping to have recommendations in place by October.
