Teachers Can't Cope With Covid-19 Due To "Ten Years' Of Cutbacks"

The TUI is calling for greater resources for schools.

Teachers are unable to cope with the demands of covid-19 due to ten years of cutbacks.

That's according to the Teachers' Union of Ireland, which is calling on the government to provide clarity and consistency with its guidelines.

General secretary, Tullamore's Michael Gillespie says teachers want schools to stay open, but they're not equipped with the necessary levels of staff, equipment and space.
