A midlands businessman says he's one of many who's being forced to shut thanks to the cost of living crisis.

The doors of Al's Fish Shop in Portarlington will close for the last time tomorrow, no longer able to cope with the pressure of rising costs.

The owner, Alan Mitchell, says his annual energy bill has risen from €12,000 to €37,000.
