In terms of the fastest jump in rankings, Éala moved from 177th in 2021, to 91st last year.
Nearly 9,000 distinct names for newborns were registered in 2022.
James is the only name that appeared in both 1972, and 2022's most popular baby names' list.
Murphy was the most common surname for babies born in Ireland last year.
