That's the warning from the Laois Offaly Crime Prevention Officer, as new figures show Gardaí have seized nearly 600 knives since 2020.
Cabinet agreed new measures earlier this week which could see anyone carrying a knife given a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Graham Kavanagh, says there's no defence for carrying a blade:
