Another motorist was caught using a homemade insurance disc.
Three people were arrested on Laois roads yesterday.
Gardaí caught the driver and a passenger of a car, stopped at a checkpoint in Stradbally, both smoking cannaibs.
They were arrested and searched at Portlaoise Garda Station, with both searches proving positive.
They also lived over 80 kilometres outside the locked down counties and had no legitimate reason to be in the area.
They're due to appear in court at a later date.
The Laois Roads Policing Unit also detected a disqualified driver at a checkpoint near Durrow, as well as another driver on the M7 displaying a homemade insurance disc.
Both vehicles were seized and the disqualified driver was charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
