A midlands woman says she left her job in Dublin because she had to leave her home three hours before work to arrive on time.
Deirdre Gowran from Rathangan held a senior administrative position at Crumlin Children’s Hospital until leaving in June 2024.
She departed her home at 5:30am every morning to ensure she arrived on time and secured parking before her 8:30am start, travelling along the M7 and N7.
She says people are spending more time in their cars than their actual jobs when commuting to work:
