A Tullamore mum received a official letter of rejection from a local school that is too full to accept her son.
Children in Offaly are now into their third week of the academic year without having secured a school place.
Tullamore mum, Amanda Rattigan, has received an official letter of rejection for her son from Coláiste Cholim.
Her son is currently on a shorter waiting list for Killina Presentation School, or facing nine hours per week of home tutoring funded by TUSLA.
Ms. Rattigan says her son is feeling down and left out of school activities:
