There could be spot flooding across the midlands.

A status yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Offaly, Laois, westmeath, and 14 more counties.

Met Eireann is warning of spot flooding, poor visability and dangerous driving conditions as a result of heavy showers.

It's in place from 8am until 9 o'clock tonight.

We can expect unsettled, mixed weather for at least another week.

That's according to Ireland's Weather Channel and Offaly's Cathal Nolan.

The Rhode man says the midlands would generally experience the worst of the thundery conditions:
